Set Up Attributes

Add Global Attributes and Attribute Templates

  1. Open a project.

  2. Go to project settings.

  3. Switch to the Custom attributes tab.

  4. Click in the bottom right corner of the screen. A list of attributes opens on the left.

    Switch between the Global and Attribute templates tabs in the list to view global attributes and attribute templates respectively.

  5. Click the attribute (template) in the list to add it to the project. To remove the attribute from the project, click on it once again and confirm removal in a pop-up.

Create Project Attributes

  1. Open a project.

  2. Go to project settings.

  3. Switch to the Custom attributes tab.

  4. Click Add attribute.

  5. Enter the attribute name and choose its type (String, Date, Options, User). To make the attribute appear in all work items in the project, select the Required attribute checkbox. The following attribute types are available:

    • String - supports input of multiline text.
    • Date - supports input of dates. This type can be used for start and end date of testing or due dates.
    • Options - supports input of multiple values. You can choose only one value in this type of attribute.
    • User - supports input of and user added to the project. This type can be used to select an assignee, reviewer, or a watcher.
  6. For the Options attribute, enter the possible values.

  7. Click Save.
