Create Work Items
To create tests, go to a project, press the button in the lower right corner, and select one of the types of tests: shared step, checklist, or test case.
Creating a checklist
To create a checklist, select a checklist as the kind of test you want to create. A modal checklist-creation window will open. The Shared step, Comments, and Change history tabs are unavailable. Enter a name for the checklist and add steps.
Steps are added in the Action field. Fields can be deleted, copied, highlighted, or moved. The corresponding buttons appear when you mouse over the points on the checklist.
Once all parameters have been set, save the checklist.
Creating shared steps
To create shared steps, select Shared steps as the kind of test you want to create in the selected project.
Fill in the required fields and press the save button. Steps are added the same way as in the Action field. Fields can be deleted, copied, highlighted, or moved. The corresponding buttons appear when you mouse over the points on the checklist.
Creating a test case
To create a test case, selected Test case as the kind of test you want to create in the selected project. In the modal test-case-creation window that appears, enter a name. The Comments and Change history tabs are unavailable.
To add preconditions, steps, or post-conditions to the test case, click on the corresponding line. The Action and Expected result fields will appear. These fields can be moved, highlighted, deleted, or copied. Shared steps can be added to the test case's preconditions, post-conditions, or steps by dragging and dropping them from the panel on the right.
Fill in the required fields and press the save button.
You can add additional fields to steps of test cases and shared steps: Test data and Comments.
To enable additional fields in a test, click on the eye icon in the upper right corner of the test card and then select the fields that you'd like to add using checkboxes.
If additional fields are not filled in, they won't be displayed in the test card by default.
