Trends

Data Source Types

Use trends to visualize process data over time. Displaying data over time increases understanding of the real performance of a process, particularly with regard to an established target or goal. Trends can display the following data source types:

  • Test results - displays tests with specified results. The results can be set manually or automatically. Tests without specified results are not displayed.
  • Tests - displays data for all tests, regardless of the specified results.
  • Autotests - displays data for autotests.

Data Grouping

Test Results

  • Status - displays the overall amount of test results grouped by their readiness statuses.

  • Priority - displays the overall amount of test results grouped by priorities assigned to them. Autotests that are not linked to test cases do not have priority. Test results added to a test run using the POST /api/v2/testRuns/byAutoTests method are not displayed. To display such results, create test runs using UI or the /api/v2/testRuns/byConfigurations and /api/v2/testRuns/byWorkItems methods.

  • Automation type - displays the overall amount of tests grouped by the way of specifying results. Results specified from UI are counted as manual, and results specified using API are counted as automated. Automation status does not affect this data grouping type.

  • Configuration - displays the overall amount of test results grouped by configurations. Archived configurations are also displayed.

  • Specialist - displays the dynamics of test execution grouped by testers. The chart displays test points assigned to testers. If a test point is not assigned to a tester, it belongs to the No tester category.

Tests

  • Status - displays the overall amount of tests grouped by their readiness status.

  • Priority - displays the overall amount of tests grouped by priority assigned to them. Autotests are displayed only if they are linked to test cases.

  • Automation type - displays the overall amount of tests grouped by their automation status. Test cases with linked autotests are counted as automated.

Autotests

  • Flaky - displays the amount of stable autotests compared to the amount of flaky autotests.
