Launch Autotests from UI

Launch Autotests

If you created autotest cards, TestGear enables you to run your autotests from UI. This launch can be performed autonomously from test plans.

  1. Open the project.

  2. Select Autotests in the main toolbar.

  3. Switch to the Autotests tab.

  4. Select the autotests you want to launch using checkboxes.

  5. Click Launch autotests.

  6. In the pop-up window, select configurations, for which you want to run the autotests.

  7. Click Launch.

After launching, you get a notification with a link to the test run. Click it to analyze the test failures.

Launch Autotests from Test Plans

After you created the autotest cards and linked them to test cases, you can launch autotests from test plans. To do that:

  1. Open the project.

  2. Select Test plans on the main toolbar.

  3. Switch to the Execution tab.

  4. Click the button in the Type column to filter autotests. In the drop-down menu, select Automated.

  5. Select the autotests you want to launch using checkboxes.

  6. Click Launch autotests.

  7. Track the execution in the test run pane on the right. Click the test run to open it and view the details for each autotest. For failed autotests, you can identify the cause: product, infrastructure, and autotest.
